Hydro & Dams

The Ludger Dam’s crest gates, rebuilt in 1993, were corroded, and their seals had reached the end of their service life. Limited access complicated maintenance, requiring interventions from the downstream apron. Water infiltration was observed in embedded parts, and the lack of a suspension system in the raised position created operational challenges.
