As part of the spillway’s modernization, we designed and supplied gated cofferdams that enabled the safe replacement of its six spillway gates.
La Gabelle, the southernmost of Hydro-Québec’s generating stations on the Saint-Maurice River, has an installed capacity of 131 MW and has supplied clean, reliable electricity for over 100 years. The spillway modernization project replaces its six gates, preserving the facility’s reliability while ensuring compliance with current standards.
