SCOPE OF SUPPLY

The Nairn GS Redevelopment Project successfully replaced the aging spillway infrastructure, ensuring the long-term reliability of the facility. The work included the design, fabrication, and installation of four heated spillway gates and two sets of spillway stoplogs, along with comprehensive testing, handling, and commissioning to meet modern operational standards.

The operating systems were designed for efficiency and reliability in spillway operations. The follower beam, equipped with stainless steel flat wheels, allows for controlled lowering under flowing water conditions, operated by tandem hoists on a monorail beam. Each gate is handled by a wire rope hoist with a centered lifting point, powered by an electric motor, and mounted on a steel frame fixed to the hoist bridges.
