Commissioned in 1921 as the Queenston-Chippawa Hydroelectric Plant, it was the world’s largest hydroelectric station at the time. Renamed in 1950, the 10-unit, 446 MW facility remains a key pillar of Ontario’s power grid. Upgrades and modernization have ensured its continued reliability in renewable energy generation.

As part of ongoing upgrades, 6 stoplogs were designed, manufactured, and delivered for the station. This follows a similar project completed in 2018, where 24 stoplogs were provided. These components play a crucial role in water management and maintenance operations. See the 2018 project here.
