Nova Scotia Power planned to replace two hydraulic log hoists at critical sites on the Mersey Hydro System due to aging infrastructure and performance concerns. Originally installed between 1992 and 1999, these hoists played a key role in water management, with plans for the new units to offer improved reliability and flexibility for redeployment across the system.

We designed, fabricated, and supplied two log hoist systems for Cowie Falls and Lower Great Brook on the Mersey Hydro System. The hoists were engineered for multi-site use, installed with full quality assurance, and supported with training for Nova Scotia Power staff.
