The purpose of the project was to design, fabricate, and deliver an approximately 31-feet- wide by 23-feet-high movable, floating bulkhead which can be used to dewater the radial gate bays one at a time, allowing the rehabilitation work to be done on the gates in an unloaded condition.
The Piney Project is located about 3 miles southwest of the Borough of Clarion in Clarion County, Pennsylvania. Its generating capacity is 28,8MW.
